Happy Paws Devon Rex Cattery

Ethical Devon Rex Breeding with Care, Health & Love

At Happy Paws Devon Rex Cattery, we raise affectionate, people-oriented Devon Rex kittens in a loving home environment. We focus on health, temperament, early socialization, and responsible matching to help each kitten find the right family.

About Our Cattery

Happy Paws Devon Rex began with our founder’s love for cats that feel like true companions — affectionate, expressive, playful, and deeply connected to people.

The Devon Rex captured our founder’s heart not only with their large ears, curly coat, and fairy-like appearance, but with their personality. They are curious, people-oriented, and full of emotion, the kind of cats that follow you through daily life and make a home feel warmer.

Before creating Happy Paws Devon Rex, our founder spent a long time studying different Devon Rex lines across Europe and the United States, including the breed’s historic roots in Devon. After comparing many styles, she ultimately chose carefully selected high-quality lines from China for their consistency, structure, expression, and temperament.

Our ideal Devon Rex has stable large ears, lower ear placement, defined cheekbones, and a full rounded muzzle that creates a naturally lifted, smiling expression. We love the balance between elf-like elegance and sweet, approachable charm.

Every kitten we select is chosen with close attention to health, personality, appearance, and suitability for family life. Our goal is to help families meet Devon Rex kittens who are not only beautiful, but affectionate, expressive, and ready to become beloved companions.

Why Our Pricing Reflects Real Value

Our pricing reflects the care, medical preparation, responsible breeding, genetic screening, nutrition, and early socialization that go into raising each Happy Paws Devon Rex kitten.

We invest in healthy bloodlines, careful breeding decisions, quality nutrition, daily socialization, and proper medical preparation so families can bring home a kitten with greater confidence and peace of mind.

Many of these services can be costly if arranged separately, especially with veterinary care and transportation costs in North America. Vaccinations, rabies vaccine, microchip implantation, deworming, health preparation, travel arrangements, and after-sale support can easily add up.

By including these essentials upfront, we help families avoid unexpected hidden fees and make the transition smoother for both the kitten and the new owner.

A cat is a companion for ten years or more. We believe starting with a healthy, well-socialized, responsibly bred kitten is one of the most important investments a family can make.

Flight & Pickup Note

One flight ticket to major international airport cities in North America is included in the kitten price.

Please note that flight coverage applies to major North American international airport cities only. For destinations outside this coverage, additional transportation or flight fees may apply.

Families located near major cities are welcome to arrange pickup by car when possible. If you are unsure whether your location is covered, please contact us before placing a reservation.

Reservation & Kitten Pickup Policy

For the safety and wellbeing of our kittens, we do not offer casual in-person kitten visits or direct in-person purchases before reservation.

Young kittens are especially sensitive to germs, environmental changes, and outside exposure because their immune systems are still developing. To protect both our kittens and our cattery families, we restrict casual visits and unnecessary in-person contact.

However, we do offer video calls, so you can meet the kitten virtually and learn more about their appearance, personality, and development.

Kittens are usually listed for reservation at around 2 months old. After reservation, we will provide weekly growth videos and updates until your kitten is ready to go home.

Kittens will not be transferred before 105 days of age. Pickup or transport timing will be mutually agreed upon by both parties. Before going home, each kitten will have completed the required vaccinations, rabies vaccination, deworming treatment, and microchip implantation listed in our purchase agreement.

We only arrange pickup or transport when the kitten is healthy, stable, and ready for the transition. The kitten’s health, safety, and long-term wellbeing always come first.

Application Required

Our kittens are not available for direct online checkout. Each placement requires an inquiry and review process to make sure the kitten is matched with a suitable, responsible, and loving home.

If you are interested in a kitten, please submit an inquiry first. Once approved, we will guide you through the reservation process, video call, deposit, weekly updates, and final pickup or flight arrangements.

How Reservation Works

1. Submit a kitten inquiry
2. We review your home, lifestyle, and care plans
3. Schedule a video call if approved
4. Place a reservation deposit after mutual confirmation
5. Receive weekly growth videos and updates
6. Kitten goes home when medically and physically ready

Multi-Kitten Discount

If you purchase two or more kittens at the same time (for example, 2–3 kittens or 3–4 kittens), we may offer a discount of $50 to $100 USD per kitten. The exact discount may vary depending on the kittens and arrangement. For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Our Commitment to Responsible Placement

At Happy Paws Devon Rex Cattery, we carefully review each prospective family before confirming a kitten reservation. Our goal is to make sure every kitten is matched with a loving, responsible, and suitable home.

As part of our application process, we may ask about your lifestyle, home environment, previous pet experience, daily schedule, and long-term care plans. We believe responsible placement is an important part of ethical breeding, and we want each kitten and family to be the right fit for one another.

Our kittens will not be transferred before 105 days of age. By this time, they will have received their required vaccinations, rabies vaccination, deworming treatment, and microchip implantation according to our purchase agreement.

If at any point in the future you are no longer able to keep your Happy Paws Devon Rex, please contact us before making any other arrangements. Our kittens should never be surrendered to a shelter, rescue, or humane society without first contacting us. When necessary, we will help guide the rehoming process or arrange for the cat to be returned to us so we can help find a suitable new home. No refund will be provided in this situation.

Why Spay/Neuter Is Not Included

Spay/neuter surgery is not included in the standard kitten price unless otherwise agreed in writing.

This is because every kitten matures at a different pace. Some kittens may reach sexual maturity around 4 months old, while others may mature later, around 7–8 months old. We believe the timing of spay/neuter surgery should be based on the kitten’s individual development, health condition, and veterinarian’s recommendation.

We also believe that many kittens recover more comfortably when the surgery is done after they have settled into their new home, with their new family and in a familiar environment. Going home earlier also allows the kitten to bond with their family, adjust to their new routine, and begin feeling secure in their permanent home.

For these reasons, spay/neuter surgery is not automatically included in our standard kitten package. We are happy to discuss timing, preparation, and general care guidance with approved families.
