Happy Paws Boarding was created after a deeply personal loss.

Our founder, Yuna, once trusted a pet sitter to care for her own kitten. Because a window was not properly secured, the kitten fell from an upper floor and was lost in a preventable accident. What made the experience even more painful was the lack of accountability afterward.

That experience later inspired her idea of building a “pet black box” through YUNX Tech — a way to bring more safety records, transparency, and accountability into pet care.

​

She understood that boarding is never just about feeding a pet or offering a place to stay. It is about trust, responsibility, attention to detail, and the safety of a family member.

This is why Happy Paws takes sitter selection seriously. Every caregiver we work with is carefully reviewed by Yuna, including their home environment, pet care experience, communication style, responsibility, and overall suitability for pet care.

Before joining our caregiver network, sitters are required to submit valid identification and a criminal background check or equivalent background record. We may also request additional supporting information to help us evaluate safety, reliability, and trustworthiness.

Our goal is to make sure every pet parent feels confident knowing their cat or dog is cared for by someone who has been thoughtfully reviewed, not randomly selected.
